Hamburger Royale  (Thanks to Faith)


For each hamburger:

1/4 # hamburger
salt and white pepper to taste
2 tomato slices
1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon Russian Dressing
1 small lettuce cup
1 hamburger roll
softened oleo maragarine,  as needed

Spread hamburger roll with softened oleo and grill until golden brown.
Grill hamburger and season with salt and white pepper to taste.
Place grilled hamburger on bottom half of roll.
Place the small lettuce cup and 2 slices of tomato on other half of
roll.
Place Russian Dressing on top of hamburger.
Serve open faced.

Note:
   Mighty Mo or Celery Sauce may be substituted for Russian dressing,
if desired.

                          Celery Sauce

2 3/4 cups canned, drained, tomatoes
3/4 cup diced onion (1/4" dice)
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/3 cup plus 1 tablespoon cider vinegar
1/3 cup plus 1 tablespoon green pepper, 1/4" dice
2 1/2 cups celery, 1/4" dice
salt and white pepper to taste
2 tablespoons plus 1 teaspoon mustard seed
1 teaspoon horseradish

Thoroughly drain and chop tomatoes into 1/2" pieces.
Combine all ingredients, except mustard seed and horseradish, and simmer
for approximately 20 minutes, leaving vegetables crisp.
Remove from heat and add mustard seed and horseradish.  Stir well to
blend.
Cool and store in a tightly covered contained under refrigeration until
time of service.
Serve as desired or as an accompaniment with hot dogs.

Burger King Whopper ( Thanks to recipe weekly )

Serving Size : 1

1 sesame-seed hamburger bun
1/4 pound ground beef
1 dash salt
3 dill pickle slices
1 teaspoon catsup
3 onion rings
2 tomato slices
1/4 cup lettuce -- chopped
1 tablespoon mayonnaise

1. Preheat a barbecue grill on high. 2. Toast both halves of the bun,
face down, in a hot skillet. Set aside. 3. Form the beef into a thin
patty slightly larger than the bun. 4. Lightly salt the hamburger patty
and cook on the barbecue grill for 2 to 3 minutes per side. 5. Build
the burger in the following stacking order from the bottom up:
bottom bun hamburger patty pickles catsup onion rings tomatoes lettuce
mayonnaise top bun
Makes 1 hamburger.
